Steve is survived by his wife Neoma Kurtz of Fort Dodge, IA; his two step-children, Ruth Herring, of New York, NY; David Boland of Elk River, MN; 2 grandchildren, Christian Herring of Dallas, TX and Bryce Boland of Elk River, MN; his brother and sister in-law, Dr. Terrance and Maureen Kurtz of Waukee, IA; nieces, nephews and of course, many good friends. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Eldo and Laura Kurtz; his sister, Betheen Leopold Springman; his brothers, O'Dean and Maynard Kurtz; his sisters-in-law, Alyce and Frances Kurtz; his nephews, Michael, Thomas, and Kevin Kurtz; his niece, Cherrie Kurtz and his great nephew, Michael Watson. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday October 22, 2011 at Foster Funeral Home, with the Internment to follow at Graceland Cemetery. In Celebration of Steve's life, a reception starting at 12:00 noon will be held at the Second Street Emporium in Webster City.
