Lois Jean Wiese was born on November 18, 1925, to Ralph and Muriel (Wiggins) Leech in Luverne, Minnesota. She received her education from Luverne Public Schools. She worked at Myhre Studio and the Luverne Co-op Creamery in Luverne. On August 15, 1947, Lois was united in marriage to Donald Eldon Wiese at the minister's house in Luverne. This marriage was blessed with four children, Rhonda, Gary, Lori, and Karen. Lois and Don lived in Magnolia, Minnesota and then moved to Windom, Minnesota from 1954 to November of 2008. While living in Windom, Lois was a homemaker from 1954 until 1968 when she began working for Harry Johnston Accounting and Tax Service. In 1976 to 1977, Lois bought the company from Harry and continued working there until retiring in 2007. In 2008, Lois and Don moved to Keystone Apartments in Eagan, Minnesota where they lived until Lois passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the age of 85. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Windom where she was very active and served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Lois Club, Women's Investment Club, Tourist Club, Girl Scout Leader, and the Windom Chamber of Commerce. ...[more]

s loved spending time with her husband, Don, traveling, reading, visiting with people, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and granddogs. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Donald Wiese of Eagan; four children, Rhonda Nicklin and her husband, Don, of Papillion, NE; Gary Wiese and his wife, Sandy, of Eagan; Lori Wiese-Parks and her husband, Robert, of St. Paul; and Karen Wiese Thompson and her husband, Doug, of St. Paul; five grandchildren, Jennifer Nicklin, Danny (Nicole) Nicklin, Wendy Nicklin, Frank Thompson, and Christopher Wiese; three granddogs, Ella, Maisie, and Chiyo; and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Larry Leech. Blessed be the memory of Lois Jean Wiese.
