Bobby Naylor

Bobby R. Naylor, 67, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Paul J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 4, 2022 in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery with military rites by the United States Army Honor Guard and the VFW Post #1856. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Bobby is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Naomi Naylor-Sims (Tiras) of Atlanta, GA, Samara Naylor of Fort Dodge, and son Silas Naylor of Fort Dodge, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Gladys Naylor, brothers Bill, Alvin, Leonard, Nathaniel, sisters Lois Wilson (Gary) and Bessie, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William Naylor, son Samuel, grandson Jakarri Naylor and brother Willie J. Naylor Bobby Ray Naylor was born November 16, 1954 in Sioux City. 1997, he was united in marriage to Sharon Green. Bobby worked for Georgia-Pacific, Rockwell City Correctional Facility, and retired from Fort Dodge Correctional Facility in 2007. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, where he has served as an Elder since 2014, and was a proud volunteer and a teacher at the Beacon of Hope Shelter.
