Cordelia K. Pape, 90, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Saturday morning, October 8, 2011, at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 A.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Carson & Son Funeral Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Andrew, Iowa Cemetery. Cordelia Katherine Jorgensen was born on April 22, 1921 in Baldwin, Iowa, to Hans and Sophia (Jorgensen) Jorgensen. She was a graduate of Baldwin High School. She married Marvin Pape on October 14, 1947 in Maquoketa, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1974. Cordelia was a homemaker and through the years had also worked for Martha's Store in Hurstville, Maidrite and the Green Mill Cafe. She also had done childcare in her home. Cordelia enjoyed collecting anything and everything and loved having pen pals all over the world. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
