Byron Lee Jones

On January 13, 2022 Byron Lee Jones, loving life partner to Nancy Jones, father to Kristal Marlor, Kyle Jones and Colby Jones passed away at age 62. Byron was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Charles Franklin Jones and Eva Bardine Jones. Byron was a wonderful, caring husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend who leaves behind many loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He grew up alongside his brother, Brad Jones and sister, Diana Zapernick, and enjoyed his childhood years with cousins, riding bikes and motorcycles and keeping his mother on her toes. He attended Thunderbird High School and shortly after, married the love of his life, Nancy. Byron was an extremely hard-working man who started his career in construction at age 17 and continued to develop skills that paved his career path with several home builders (Coleman Homes, Del Webb, Pulte Homes, and Toll Brothers). He always took pride in his home (mowing the lawn multiple times a week) and truly appreciated all the blessings in his life Above all, Byron was a devoted husband, who cherished and adored Nancy and was a proud father of Kristal, Kyle and Colby and in recent years a doting Grandfather to Kingsley, Madden and Kollins. He was a mentor, leader, and was loved and respected by all that knew him. He had a great sense of humor and always wore his beautiful smile. He was an amazing, humble, and a genuine person who will be missed by family and dear friends. Byron is survived by his wife Nancy of 38 years, sons Kyle and Colby Jones, daughter Kristal Marlor, son-in law Bryce Marlor, daughter in law Melissa Jones, granddaughters Kingsley, Madden and Kollins Marlor, siblings Brad Jones and Diana Zapernick, brother in-laws Steve Moyer and Keenan Evans, sister in-laws Karla Evans and Tami Graf along with nieces and nephews and many loving friends and extended family. Preceded in death his parents Charles Franklin Jones and Eva Bardine Jones, Mother in-law Leah Armstrong, Father in-law Warren Moyer and brother in-law Paul Moyer. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E.
