Ronald F. Carr, 70, of Hampton, Illinois, and formerly of Monmouth, Iowa, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus in Silvis, Illinois. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, October 17, 2011, from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Monmouth, Iowa. Ronald F. Carr was born on March 1, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa, to Harold and Mary (Ralston) Carr. He grew up in Jackson County. He married Darlene M. Kemp on May 2, 1959 in Clinton, Iowa. She preceded him in death on June 30, 2002. Ronald first worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa. In 1966, they moved to Davenport and he took a job with International Harvester as a machine operator until his retirement in 1988. They moved to Hampton, Illinois in 1975.
