Nancie Jean Ancona

Nancie Jean Ancona, 69 years old, passed away on March 4th, 2022. Nancie and her husband Marty most recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister. Daughter, Nicole past in 2017; and she is survived by her husband Marty, brothers Eric and Leigh; sister Natalie; and her son Sam. Nancie was born on August 29th 1952 in Fulton, NY. She was the daughter of Shirley and Donald Somers. She graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, NY, in 1970. Nancie was devoted and loved volunteering her time at St. Pauls Catholic Church through St. Vincent De Paul helping to feed the homeless with Marty. Nancie also loved volunteering her time with St. Andre Inner Healing Ministries with Father Bill Faiella, CSC, Psy. D. Nancie and Marty's love was truly unique. They are the definition of the word "soulmates". Destined to be together, both of their mothers even shared the same room at the hospital when they were born, Nancie being born about five hours before Marty, who was born on August 30th, 1952. Later in life, they enjoyed working and traveling together as a couple and sales team for KoKoMo Grills as their final career before deciding to retire,... together of course. If you knew them, it was hard to say just Nancie, or just Marty, it was always "Marty and Nancie"! Those who knew Nancie know that they could talk to her about anything. She was kind and caring and was always willing to listen and help her friends and family. Nancie had a way about her, and a kind of charisma. She always made friends wherever she was in a short amount of time. She will be greatly missed by all of those who are fortunate to have known her. • Nancie will be resting in peace in closed casket setting so that you may pay your respects and pray for her between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Hansen Mortuary on Friday April 1st, 2022.
