Col. Frank B. Stoffel died Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his home in Worcester after a brief illness. He was 87 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Mathias and Margaret (nee Augustine) Stoffel. Frank served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1980 and attained the rank of Colonel. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with seven Oak Leaf Clusters, AF Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), AF Longevity Service Award with five Oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Service Medal with five Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and Campaign Medal, AF Presidential Unit Citation, AF Outstanding Unit Award with three Oak Leaf Clusters and the Legion of Merit. Deaf-Blind Community; He would volunteer and run many Pool Parties, Game Events, set up and work at Scott Stoffel's Tactile Carnivals. He was a difference-maker to his family, the community, and the country. He had a contagious laugh and always said, "If people were laughing with you, they could not laugh at you." His mission in life was to bring Joy and Happiness to everyone. Frank served the Baptist Church as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher in many churches and currently attended Calvary Baptist Church in Lansdale, Pa. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Wanda L. (nee Atchison) Stoffel, and is the devoted father of Larry J. Stoffel and his wife Kathryn of Kissimmee, Fl, Gretchen A. Stoffel of Lansdale, and Scott M. Stoffel of Lansdale. He is the Loving Grandfather of 4, Great Grandfather of 3 and brother of Anna Weber of Sellersville, PA, and Marge Hagan of Ocean City, NJ. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 2:00 to 03:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home,1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jordan Clark, of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa, on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 9:00 AM.
