Joye Dell Baker

Joye Dell Baker, age 65, of Ursa, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 12:08 pm in Blessing Hospital. Joye was born February 16, 1957 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Joe and Doris Yoe Dieker. She married Larry Baker on May 20, 1978 in Quincy, Illinois. She graduated from Quincy Notre Dame in 1975 and received her Associates Degree from John Wood Community College in 1977. Joye worked for the Adams County Highway Department as a Flood Plain Specialist for 25 years. While there, Joye was a pivotal designer in the GIS website for Adams County. She also was the treasurer for the Indian Grave Drainage District. Joye loved going to casinos, camping with family, gardening, hunting mushrooms, and going to the fair. She would never miss one of her kids games. Joye loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was also a 4-H leader.
