(SDSU) with a Home Economics degree in 1960. Donna was SDSU's Hobo Day Queen in 1958. At SDSU she met Clifford Blaine Wobig (1929-2019) and the couple married in Brookings in 1960. Donna was the youngest of six children and was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers (Randall, Russell and Vance) and two sisters (Betty and Dorothy). Always the consummate hostess, Donna loved to entertain in her home and yard. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, shopping, sewing, flower arranging, cooking, China painting, and spoiling her 4 granddaughters (Kendall, Kaia, Shalynn, and Kaylee). Donna was a people person and worked as a Home Economics teacher, a JC Penney's Sales Associate, an Interior Designer, a continuing education teacher, and finally as a Real Estate Agent with Friedrich Realty until her retirement in 2018. She co-founded Ames Christian Woman's Club and was a member of Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority, Central Iowa Board of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, bridge club, Ames Women's Club, the local China Painting Club, and Crossroads Baptist Church. Cliff and Donna have two sons, Loren (Tracey) of Springfield, IL and Kevin (Kassi) of Ames and four granddaughters; Kendall, Shalynn, Kaia and Kaylee. Donna was devoted to her family, church, and her relationship with God. A gathering time will be 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29th, 2022, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa; with a 10:00 a.m. funeral service at Crossroads Baptist Church, in Ames, on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. Burial will take place at Ames Municipal Cemetery. Her family request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or MICA (Mid-Iowa Community Action).
