Patrick Leo Conley, 90, passed away at the Israel Family Hospice Home on September 4, 2022. Pat was born in Tyrone, Iowa where he was one of twelve children. He lived in Ames since 1955.
He married Marilyn (Sullivan) in 1956. Together, they owned and operated Conley's Trucking until they retired. Pat was famous for his skill at fixing almost anything, and infamous for his sometimes creative methods.
In his free time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and especially spending time with his family.
Pat will be missed by his wife, Marilyn, their children: Joyce Conley Gibson, Donna (Larry) Warshaw, and daughter-in-law Lynn Conley (Dave Engle), as well as the grandchildren: Sarah (Josh) Richman, Ben (Emily) Gibson, Tyler (Sarah) Conley, Corinne Conley, Molly (Wes) Creaden, Ian Warshaw, and Natalie Warshaw, 9 great-grandchildren, and his surviving brother Alex (Sharon) Conley, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Dorothy Conley, Dale Sullivan, Janice and Curt Eddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings, son Craig Conley and son-in-law Mike Gibson.
