d listening to her favorite music by Il Divo. Jan was the foundation of her home, she made every holiday special, she was rooted in her faith and loved her family and friends with all her heart. She was thoughtful, soft-spoken, and kind. She had a great sense of humor, a warm smile and fierce "look" when warranted. Jan was loved by everyone she met, and she will continue to be loved and missed by all. She lived and loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at rest and at peace, enjoying the greatest gift of all, the gift of Eternal Life. Jan is survived by her husband of 52 years Del Hegel, her daughter Nicole Brookshire and her husband Ross Brookshire from Round Rock, Texas; daughter Tiffany Hegel from Phoenix, Arizona, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. Jan was proceeded in death by her parents, one sister Dolores Amann "Dodo" and her husband Ray Amann, one brother Charles Mischel and his wife Jan Mischel along with many aunts, uncles, and family members. Funeral Mass will be held at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church on September 14th, 2022, at 1:30pm. There will be a visitation 30 minutes prior to the service.
