dney transplant from her youngest son, Nick on April 8, 2008. She said every day after how grateful she was to live life. Laurie fought passionately for, and especially with her loved ones for what was right and needed for them. She loved with all her heart and was always a shoulder to lean on. She was a woman you could count on to tell you the real truth and not sugarcoat it. She had a vocal prominence; there was no holding back and no shame when it came to telling you how she felt and Laurie would be honest and not spare feelings. Known as a Husker Hippie, all to know her knew she loved anything with her Huskers, Happy, Peace Signs, Flowers or tie-dye. And of course, Bassett Hounds. Show one to her, and you'd get the biggest and warmest smile, maybe even a delighted squeal. She was big kid who wanted to see and feel the happiness in the world. On September 8, 2022, after over 20 years of health problems, while surrounded by those that loved her, she was unexpectedly called to gain her wings to become our angel. She will be deeply missed by many friends, family, and those who had the privilege of knowing her. Preceded in death by longtime partner Brian Morehouse; parents Della Lee and Robert Cantwell; brother John Robb; sister Beth Syvertsen; sister Cindy Mahr. Survived by father John Robb Sr; son Nick Robb (Kelsey); son Tony Robb; brother Brian Robb (Denise); grandchildren: Justice, Kassidy, Cyerra, Mariah, Emmett, Emily; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
