making people feel loved and important. Bonnie was known for her ability to make anyone welcome and comfortable in her home, whether they were friends, family, or political candidates. Her caring was matched by her stubbornness! Bonnie may have well set the example of will- power and conviction. When the woman knew what she wanted or believed in something, there was no stopping her, especially in her dedication to politics and the democratic party. She was passionate about making a difference and changing the world for all. Some of Bonnie's proudest accomplishments included a personal invitation to the White House by former President Barack Obama, her significant environmental policy changes through her efforts with Clean Air Muscatine and her tireless work to pass the Affordable Care Act. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Paul Adkins, her two daughters Jayme Ironside (Jacob) and Sarah Brumwell (Corbin); her grandchildren Ava, Henry, Harper, and Brynlee. Bonnie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother and father, Donna (Mousley) and Lloyd Riepe, her father and mother-in-law Glen and Rosemary (Park) Adkins, her sister Elizabeth Randleman and sister in-law Susan (Rogers) Adkins. A special thank you to the dedicated staff at Bickford and UnityPoint Hospice for caring for Bonnie at the end of her life.
