Ian had a good heart and sense of duty to his family, friends, job and coworkers. He was generous with his time to help others. He was smart and inquisitive. He always wanted to know how and why. Ian loved to travel near and far. For many years he would make an annual journey to the Texas Hill Country to see the bluebonnets and other wild flowers. Other favorite Texas destinations included Washington-on-the-Brazos, Lost Maples, Big Bend, and the like. He enjoyed seeing southwest national sites like the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and so many more. Cruising gave him the opportunity to explore the Caribbean, Mexico and the Panama Canal. He also traveled to Europe and toured several countries there. He planned to make many more trips until Myelofibrosis struck. A graveside service for Ian was held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Adath Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
