Judy Mae Sanchez

Judith Sanchez, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at her home in Nevada. A private celebration of life will be held by her family. Judith Mae Ward was born September 27, 1944, in Clear Lake, Iowa to Verne and Thelma Ward. She grew up in Clear Lake where she received her education, graduating from Clear Lake High School. Judy was united in marriage to Gregory Sanchez on October 15, 1962 and celebrated 60 years together until he passed in September 2022. The couple made their home in Nevada and were blessed with two children, Brooke and Benjamin. Judy started her career working at Sears in Des Moines, and later worked as an executive assistant at ICS in Ames. Judy enjoyed taking walks with her sons, where they frequently searched for unique rocks to collect. While taking walks they would stop to enjoy a picnic and spend time together as a family. They also enjoyed traveling together. Judy is survived by her loving sons Brooke Sanchez and Benjamin Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her husband Greg, her parents and brother Walter (Butch).
