Kenneth Vincent Herb

Kenneth (Ken) Herb, 79 of Chandler, AZ passed away 11/2/2022 surrounded by his family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Carl and Lillian Herb and grew up in Maspeth, NY. He graduated from the NY School of Printing in 1966. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1966-1970 on the US Essex stationed in RI and served in the Vietnam War. He received the National Service Medal. After meeting the love of his life, Carol John he moved to Edison, NJ. When he retired from his career as a Pressman in the Printing Industry, he and Carol moved to Chandler, AZ in 2014. Ken had a passion for cars and had another pride and joy in his 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 named "Eloise". He enjoyed swimming, reading, collecting Lionel Trains, working on his cars and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol of 42 years, loving daughters: Dawn Amberg (Bob) of Edison, NJ; Dana Diakunczak (Jeff) of Eatontown, NJ; Stephanie Swiontek (Marcus) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren: Bobby, Brianna, Ashley, Michael, Kendall and Natalie; sister Linda Willinger (Scott) of Florida and many nieces, nephews and great nephews. Funeral mass is scheduled at Our Lady of Joy (36811 N. Pima Rd., Carefree, AZ) on Tuesday, 11/15/2022 at 11:00 a.m. Committal Service will take place at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ) on 11/15/2022 at 1:30 p.m. There will also be a Celebration of Life Memorial held in New Jersey at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home (568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840) on Saturday, 11/19/2022 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm.
