John August Bradley, was born to Lovalle and Mary Wesley Bradley on May 29, 1942 in Manhattan, Kansas. He was the second of six (6) children born to this union. In 1960, John graduated from Manhattan High School and entered the United States Air Force. His military career began in Lackland, Amarillo, Texas. He served at the following bases: Barksdale Air Force Base (AFB), Louisiana; LaJes Air Field, Azores, Portugal; Lowery AFB, Colorado; Armed Forces Entrance and Examining Station, St. Louis, Missouri; Scott AFB, Illinois; ENT AFB, Colorado; Key West Naval Air Station, Key West, Florida; Det 147th Communication Radio Site, Lamar, Colorado; Ramstein Air Base, Germany and Offutt AFB, Nebraska. MSgt Bradley was awarded many citations, ribbons and awards during his military tenure. He retired from the Air Force, with 26 years of honorable service, on November, 30, 1986. After military retirement, John worked for the Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center for a little over 20 years. He retired from the VA in 2007. John was preceded in death by his parents, Lovalle and Mary Bradley, sister, Patricia L. Patterson, Brother, James D. Bradley, Sr. and daughter, Patria L. Bradley. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katie M. Bradley; four children, Candace (Michael) Merrell, Denver, CO; Jarron (Tonya) Bradley, Omaha, NE; Parrish (MarShannon) Bradley, Denver, CO; and Keisha (Essex III) Bosan, Omaha, NE. 11 grandchildren: Koi (Justin) Milton, Dallas, TX; Sheldyn (Curness) Russell, North Carolina; Sydney Merrell, Denver, CO; Jarron Bradley II, Omaha, NE; Brandon Merrell, Denver, CO; Amani Bradley, Denver, CO; Amaya Bradley, Denver, CO; Kadence Bosan, Omaha, NE; Khari Bosan, Omaha, NE; Mylo Bradley, Denver, CO; and Kordell Bradley, Denver, CO. Two (2) great grandsons: Ayden Kellogg and Karter Milton. Siblings: Lovalle Bradley, Jr., St. George, KS; Janet Gray, San Diego, CA; and Myra Bradley, Denver, CO. A host of nieces, nephews and friends to cherish his memory.
