James Stephen Farkas was born on Dec. 19, 1942 and passed away on Dec. 12, 2022 after a battle with a progressive brain disorder that he was diagnosed with 3 years ago. He will be greatly missed by many. Jim was born in Akron, Ohio along with his older sister Carol, older brother Bill and younger brother Paul to his father Bill Farkas. any friends. He also loved the outdoors and chose to hunt and fish as often as he could. The family has many fond memories of life at the cabin in Christopher Creek, Arizona. It was first built in the early 50's by Sandy's parents Hugh and Doll Simpson and then in 2008, it was lovingly rebuilt and remodeled by he and his son Aaron. He leaves a legacy of loyalty, faithfulness, generosity and geniality. The great news is that because of his profession of faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, this is not the end. He lives now with Jesus with no more pain or suffering and those of us who also believe in Jesus will indeed see him again! Jim was preceded in death by his grandson Bodhe as well as 2 brothers and 2 step siblings. He is survived by his wife Sandy, daughter Holly(David) Bandelier, sons Aaron(Tracy), Jason(Tracee), and Casey, his 5 grandsons Tyler, Ryan, Kyle, JJ, and Grayson and his 1 great grandson Julian, as well as his sister Carol as well as many other extended family members. Jim's Remembrance Service will be held on January 14th 2022 from 12:30-2pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary at 6500 E. Bell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85254.The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers donations to be made to Hospice of the Valley. Please visit the tributes tab for the livestream link.
