Chad Michael

Many hearts are broken by the sudden loss of young man. My son Chad L. Michael, age 42, is gone. Born in Fort Dodge on May 30, 1980, and died on Monday, January 16, 2023. Chad lived many years in the Fort Dodge Community, sharing his love of golf, D Jing, his work, family, friends, and their beloved dogs Theo and Hazel. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School and went on to become a licensed electrician. He worked for North Iowa Electric for 11 years, 2 years at Baker Electric in Fort Dodge and then took a position with the Baker Group in Des Moines until his death. He is survived by his mother Anita Michael, nephew Averey Martin, brother (from another mother) Chris Grady, the love of his life Jayme Ekis, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Chad was preceded in death by his father Gary Michael, sister Holly Michael, and both sets of grandparents. A wise grandson asked during a breakdown, NaNa, how many storms have you driven through in life? Snow, rain, hail, etc. and for the most part you keep driving, you might have to stop briefly along the way, then you keep on driving.
