also a member of the AAUW, Christians Women's Clubs, and the United Presbyterian Church where she has been an Elder for several years. Mavis enjoyed reading, socializing with all her friends, and traveling with her husband and daughter as much as possible. She never missed a vendor show with Wendy when she sold Pink Zebra nor did she ever miss Black Friday shopping, no matter the weather conditions. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to all her flower beds. All summer long, you could find Mavis planting flowers or pulling weeds. She loved all animals, especially her cats; growing up on a farm instilled that love and it only continued when she moved to town. Above all, Mavis had a strong faith who cherished her family more than anything.
