Regina Essien Udo-Inyang, age 65, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her home in Grosse Pointe. She was born on October 26, 1957 in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria to the late Leo and the late Agnes (nee: Akro) Essien. Regina graduated from Creighton University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and then in 1982 with a Doctor of Pharmacy. Regina went back to school at Wayne State University and graduated with her Doctor of Medicine in 2014 from University of St. Eustatius. For her career, Regina was a Pharmacist and Medical Doctor. Regina was very active in medical missionary work in Nigeria through Pro Health International from 1997 to present. She loved actively volunteering in the medical field and learning about different cultures and religions. In her spare time, Regina liked to read. Regina is the loving wife of Dr. Anthony Udo-Inyang. Beloved mother of Ini Udo-Inyang, Dr Imo Udo-Inyang, and Ime Udo-Inyang. Dear grandmother of Amadeus Rex Udo-Inyang-Mayer and Prometheus Hope Udo-Inyang-Mayer. She will lie instate on Friday March 31 from 9:30 am until the time of her funeral mass at 10 am at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township.
