John Gomez, age 76, passed away in Omaha, Nebraska, on March 26, 2023. He was born April 28, 1946 to Modesto and Matiana (Garza) Gomez in Omaha, NE. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Gomez; children, John Michael Gomez and Shannon Janet Cardenas; siblings, Edward Babe Gomez, Tony Gomez, Modesto Gomez, Jr., Eva Sandoval, and Virginia Domingues. John is survived by children, Dion Gomez, Christopher Gomez, Richard Gomez, and Alexandra Smith; all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Gomez, Frank Gomez, Daniel Gomez, Margaret Boniella, Rachael Flores, Thensia McCracken; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held from Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home's L Street Chapel.
