Jerry Wayne Kruse

Jerry Wayne Kruse, age 79, of Rochester, Minnesota died on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester. Jerry was born on March 28, 1944 to Melvin and Harriet (Madsen) Kruse in Baltimore, Maryland. He moved to Rochester at a young age. In 1962 he graduated from John Marshall High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1965. Following his service, he began working at Kahler Hotel in Rochester. Jerry married Luisa Merlin on May 18, 1968. He enjoyed watching all sports and coaching his children in baseball. He also enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles and brewing his own beer. Jerry is survived by his wife Luisa; 3 children, Andrew (Marinda Carey) Kruse, James (Kimberly) Kruse and Melissa Kruse; and 2 grandsons Gavin and Jordan. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Thomas. There will be a private funeral service held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with burial at Grandview Memorial Gardens to follow.
