Margaret J Lambe

Margaret J. Lambe passed away with her family by her side on April 20, 2023 at age 91. Margaret lived in Runnemede since 1963. She grew up in Mt. Ephraim having attended St. Rose of Lima grade school and Camden Catholic High School and later worked for the Air Force in Newfoundland Canada. While living in Newfoundland, she met and married Jerome Lambe. Though they later divorced, Margaret enjoyed a warm friendship with Jerome and his now widow, Polly throughout her life. Margaret was a former officer of the Newfoundland American Club, a founding and lifelong parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church in Runnemede, and a member of The St. Vincent De Paul Society. Margaret was a legal secretary for nearly 60 years. She retired from the Thatcher law firm at 80 years old. Devoted mother of Peggy Jurow (Steven), Jim Lambe (Tina), Kevin Lambe (Sandy), and Bernadette Lambe (Neil). Loving gramma of Brian, Jonathan, Matthew, Samantha, Kevin, Dylan, Colin, Jenny, and great grandchildren Robert, Peyton, Nora, Audrey, Iris, Lily, Willa, Ada, Mordecai, and Jerome. Marie Keating. Adored godmother of William Keating. Devoted friend of Linda Parker. Faithful friend and surrogate gramma of Brian Russick who was always willing to lend a hand day or night. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Margaret also enjoyed the companionship of her dog Rugie and cat Grey and numerous other pets throughout her life. There will be a viewing Friday evening April 28, 2023 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Saturday morning April 29, 2023 from 10:15 am to 11:15 am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 12 Noon at Holy Child Parish, St. Maria Goretti RC Church, 321 Orchard Ave. Runnemede, NJ 08078 followed by a repast. Interment private.
