Richard "Ric" Glenn Brown 60, passed away while surrounded by family on Wednesday May 31st, 2023 in Glendale, AZ after a short, but heroic battle with kidney cancer. Ric was born at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC on August 8, 1962 to Del and Glenda Brown. His family moved to Salem, OR in 1963, and it was there that his love for the outdoors was ignited. He spent his childhood riding dirt bikes, downhill skiing, camping, and water skiing, along with many other activities. Ric moved to Arizona in 1979, where he later graduated from Greenway High School. In 1989 Ric became a father, when his daughter Mandi was born. Later that same year he began working for the City of Scottsdale where he remained employed for almost 33 years, until he retired in 2022. Ric loved anything to do with traveling and RV camping, and had dreamed of taking many future trips. Ric was family-oriented and a loyal friend. He was always willing to help, and spent many weekends volunteering his time at a local food bank. He is survived by his parents: Del and Glenda Brown, daughter: Mandi Jedrol (Matt), stepchildren: Mike Felt (Emilie), and Megan Mouser (Billy), grandchildren: Marlee and Maisie, step-grandchildren: Owen, Tyler, Kenzie, and Addi, brothers: Jeff Brown (Robin), and Bryan Brown (Michele), and nieces and nephews: Craig, Morgan, and Ashley, as well as many other extended family members.
