William "Mikaol" Daley, 72, of Ames, IA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the morning of Monday, July 10, 2023, at Israel Family Hospice in Ames.
Per the wishes of Mikaol, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. Ames Monument & Cremation Center is caring for Mikaol and his family.
William Harry Daley was born on March 16, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Francis and Helen (Kinder) Daley. He grew up in Pennsylvania, graduating high school from Cannon McMillian Schools in 1969. He went on to the University of Florida and took some courses. Mikaol went on to serve a stint in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1977. In his working career he was involved with the Union Pacific Railroad and held the title of Conductor. After an injury he retired. Mikaol met the love of his life, Janna Marie Redfield, and they wed on August 25, 1995, settling in Ames in 1996.
In his spare time, Mikaol enjoyed woodworking, writing, shooting pool, watching true crime stories and being in the company of his family.

st of Pennsylvania and Chadwick Smith of New York, stepson: Jason Yawn of Ames and a host of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary and stepdaughter Joanna Barwick.
