Gary Green

Gary Walter Green 67, passed away peacefully at Kavanagh house on July 24, 2023. He was born May 21, 1956, in Des Moines. Son of Ronnie Leroy Green and Marlene Phyllis Neff. Gary was a hard worker and could be spotted throughout his neighborhood working on a roof or other odd jobs that would require a handyman's attention. In his free time Gary was an avid sports fan betting on college football and basketball with some success. The Drake Bulldogs was a pastime he enjoyed cheering on. He also loved fishing, documentaries, music, Chicago P.D. and the Kentucky Derby. Some of his favorite artists were. The Beatles, David Bowie, Elton John, and Insane Clown Posse. Gary's daughter and grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Playing dominos and spoiling his granddaughter warmed his guarded heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles, aunts, and many lifelong friends. Survivors include his daughter Kariann Mikesell, grandchildren Deion Mikesell, (Adhora Madhuri), Eva Mikesell, sisters Rondelle Stephenson, Ramona (Bruce) Gerber, Loralee Gale, Val Gale, (Jenni Haney), Becky Gale, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat Sophia who Gary absolutely adored. ...[more]
