Dr. Richard Alan Litt, a revered figure in the field of Orthodontics, was born on August 16, 1940. He passed away peacefully from end stage renal disease and a subdural hematoma, leaving a legacy of love, passion, and intelligence. Dr. Litt is remembered by his beloved partner, Suzanne J., his four children, Tracey, Laurie, Mollie, and Alexander (AJ), and his stepchildren, Jason, Kara, and Joann. His memory will also be cherished by his three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and the Mumford Group. His extended family of relatives, friends, and countless students from his Orthodontic Education Program, FORCE, International, also mourn his loss. A distinguished scholar in Orthodontics, Dr. Litt dedicated his life to teaching and mentoring students from around the globe. His influence extended far beyond the classroom, shaping the careers of many in the field. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for sports, which brought him much joy and camaraderie. Dr. Litt's life will be celebrated in memorial services in both Michigan and California.
