Chi-Ming Li
CRANBURY - CHI-MING "MIKE" LI passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. He was 87 years old. Born in Hsiang-Ying, Hunan, China, to Yun-Cheng Li and Nien-Tsen Ren, he immigrated to Taiwan with his family in 1949 before coming to the United States in 1961 to study in Virginia. He lived in Queens and Old Bridge before moving to Cranbury in 1996. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Chi-Ming had a long career as a Civil Engineer with EBASCO Services in New York City. His engineering portfolio spanned the world and included power plants in Taiwan, South Korea, and Linden, NJ. Despite retiring in 1996, Chi-Ming was never one to sit idle. He returned to Taiwan to offer his vast expertise in engineering and later to Fantas-Eyes in Maplewood. In his spare time Chi-Ming enjoyed writing poetry, photography, playing Mahjong with friends, ballroom dancing, karaoke, and spending time with his family. Family and friends may visit on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4:00-7:00pm at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Frost Woods Memorial Park, East Brunswick.
