EAST BRUNSWICK - WILLIAM A. POLCARI passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was 89 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Salvatore and Mary (née Raimondo) Polcari, he resided there for 31 years, before calling East Brunswick home for the past 58 years. A graduate of New Utrecht High School in 1952, William honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then took up the trade of Lithography and worked for Lasky in Milburn until his retirement in 1996. William was one of the founders of the East Brunswick Baseball Managers Association. He, along with the other coaches built the baseball complex on Dunhams Corner Road. One of his greatest accomplishments was coordinating the "200-inning" game in honor of the bicentennial that made the Guiness Book of World Records. Aside from coaching and following baseball, William enjoyed gambling, horseracing and trips to Aruba. His greatest love was spending time with his family. William is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Concetta "Connie" Polcari, who passed away on the same date seven years earlier. ficant other, Michele LeBlanc, of Upper Freehold; his three daughters, Meryl Polcari and her husband, Robert Heath, of Tinton Falls, Lori Fama and her husband, Chris, of Monroe Township, and Michele Polcari of East Brunswick; his seven grandchildren, Noel Battistelli and her husband, Will, Kara Kendall, Marisa Morris and her husband, Nick, Michael Polcari, Billy Polcari, Robert Heath III, Samantha Polcari; his two great-grandchildren, Liam and Lucas; and his sisters, Joan McClean and Carol Sanft, both of Brooklyn. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Bartholomew RC Church in East Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
