Olive Claire Patrick Douglas passed away on December 19, 2023 at the age of 95. Olive was born on May 25, 1928 to Opal Leota Lozier Patrick and Ernest Ester Patrick in Texon, West Texas.
Olive met Raymond Eugene Douglas at Corpus Christi Lake, then known as Lake MacAllen, near MacAllen, Texas. After a year of courtship, Olive and Ray were married, on July 4, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas. They were married at the Travis Park Methodist Church, across from the Alamo. The witnesses to the wedding were "the whole church choir".
Olive enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, putting together puzzles and the challenge of crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was being with family. A major turning point in her life was being baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Olive is survived by three daughters, Ramie Lin Douglas of Centralia, WA; Sharleen Hubbard (Jim) of White Swan, WA; and Leslie Huntley (Ken) of Kingman, AZ; and one son, Patrick Douglas (Audra Holman) of Vernal, UT.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 62 years, Raymond; daughter, Lauri Jonelle; and son, Colin Blaine.
