higan to look for work. Eventually all of Betty's family and much of Joe's family also moved to Grand Rapids which they all made it home. Betty and Joe raised three children: Nancy, Debbie, and Rob. In 1967 Betty and Joe moved to Jamestown, NY where Betty lived until moving to Hilton NY in 2023. As a family, they traveled back to Michigan and later to Orlando, Virginia Beach and Las Vegas for family vacations and destinations. Betty's husband Joe passed away in 1986 before the family started to grow. Their children blessed them with six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Betty was very independent and has lived alone since 1986. She was, however, all about spending time with the people she loved. She enjoyed playing cards, going to a casino, or going to bingo with her dear friends Jim, Richie, Kathy, Joyce, and Artie or traveling to spend the winters in Florida. She enjoyed the people that surrounded her, and holiday time with family was also special to her. Outside of all these wonderful relationships, Betty loved a clean and organized house. Having things a certain way and being organized brought her peace. She drove until last year when her health started to suffer. Betty was always encouraging and delighted in the success of her children and grandchildren. She especially loved her great-grandchildren who called her GG. Betty had a special bond with Juliet who is disabled, as she would spend hours talking and singing to her. Betty's daughter in law, Gerri, spent countless hours caring for Betty as her health started to suffer over the past 10 years. Betty will be missed very much by all the lives she touched.
