Rachel Jane Marie LoPresti Kim, 76, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on Friday, February 9th, 2024 in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Born August 4th, 1947 in Lynn, Massachusetts, Rachel lovingly known as "Janie" to close family, was raised in Massachusetts.
Rachel served in the United States Coast Guard. She was Honorably Discharged in 1979, as Storekeeper First Class U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.
Rachel loved to travel and lived in many places during her lifetime. Throughout the years Rachel lived in Vermont, Las Vegas, California, Hawaii and Korea. Rachel worked as a waitress throughout the years. She had a black belt in karate and traveled to Korea for karate competitions. Rachel eventually settled in Bradenton, Florida and lived her remaining years gardening for herself and others. She loved her cats, and was an advocate for the feral cats in the neighborhood.
Rachel was predeceased by her mother, Alice Clanton. Rachel was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She leaves behind her brothers, Russell Burzynski and his wife, Debby of Saugus, Massachusetts.
James Lemonosky and his wife Pat of Beverly, Massachusetts and her sisters, Karen Clanton of Anderson, Indiana and Tina Trippett of Massachusetts.
