It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our father, Gary H. Janaczek, a proud Navy Veteran, who left us on February 27th, 2024.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeffery D. Janaczek, and Gregory P. Janaczek. Gary instilled in them the values of hard work and perseverance, lessons that they will carry with them always.
In addition to his sons, Gary is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Pebbles. The bond between Gary and Pebbles was a testament to the unconditional love and loyalty they shared. Their daily car rides, belly rubs on the couch, and time together brought immeasurable joy into Gary's life.
Though Gary has left this world, his spirit will continue to live on through the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A formal service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, at a later date, not yet chosen. We will make every effort to inform those that are interested in attending.
Rest in peace.
Iโm sorry to hear of the passing of our dear Gary. We met Gary at a Tampa Bay lighting game about 10 years ago. It was Tampa vs Boston. He sat down next to my wife and I and said I see youโre a Bruins fan. I laughed and said yes he asked where we were from I told him Nova Scotia Canada. He told me how the game was going to play out. The first period youโre not going to like me. The second period youโre going to warm up to me and the third period you and I are going to be good friends. Boy hewas right on the nose on that. The Bruins won the game in overtime and Gary missed the goal. He came back to his seat and we exchanged numbers and went to many games after that. We stayed with Gary many times as we visited Tampa for vacation in the winter. He always wanted to see pictures of the lobsters that i caught in Nova Scotia and we always talked on the phone and texted back and forth while I was a sea. I am sorry that I didnโt get to say goodbye to my friend and my wife and I send are condolences to his family. We will miss him dearly.

A great friend for many years at the club and a tremendous kibitzer with us all and his favourite server, Angie.
A life lost too soon but never to be forgotten.

My sincerest condolences to the Janaczek family. Gary, who will always be known to me as Mr J. is someone I have known since I was a child. He has left a lasting impression on my life, as well as many memories I will never forget. Mr J. I will remember you always, may you rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to the family. A highlight of my trips to the Oaks always was sharing a drink and interesting conversation with Gary. Truly a unique individual who I miss already. Just thinking about him and sharing some wonderful moments brings a smile to my face. May he rest in peace.
