youth, the town in which they would grow old together. Paul was a man of few words but a quiet strength, who valued simple things, and enjoyed a calm and peaceful environment. The epitome of "still waters run deep," he was complex and wise, hidden under a composed shell. He was great for a laugh, his humor often displayed in a light-hearted jest, a twinkle in his eyes, and the subtlest of smirks barely cracking his composure. He spent free time enjoying the beauty of a peaceful morning fishing, or mushrooming, and later in his retirement years, found joy in gardening, playing Solitaire and, of course, visiting with family. He was also known to walk several miles each day, for many years. Paul will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. The funeral service will be held at Whitehurst Funeral Chapels, 1840 S. Center Ave., Los Banos, CA, on Thursday, March 28th, at 10:00. Burial will follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA.
