alled Clark Mills near Utica, NY. They never had a car, so they walked everywhere! In his early teens, Don achieved his Eagle Scout Badge. Don served in the army, received degrees from RIT and U of R, then worked for 40 years in the engineering division of Kodak. He was devoted to his church, serving as the Acolyte Director for many years at Church of the Ascension. His wife and family were priorities in his life, wanting to be sure they had what they needed and that they had a good life. In high school and church he met and eventually married Sally. Their family grew with children, Catherine and David. Let's not forget his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jessica, who also brought him great joy. He looked forward to spending time with family at the cottage on Keuka Lake where they made many memories over the years. He enjoyed sailing on Keuka Lake, except when the wind stopped which may have prompted the name of the boat, "The Grouch." He also loved to travel with Sally and with the whole family. They traveled to many places in the United States as well as visiting other parts of the world. Don had his bowling and golf league to keep him busy, as well as spending time at the Kodak shooting range. He was an avid coin and pistol collector. Don never said no to grilling outside and always had room for dessert at dinner. He loved country music and liked to play it on his guitar. Beyond his love of watching sports, old sitcoms and movies were one of Don's favorite pastimes. Words that describe Don best are kind, devoted, loving, knowledgeable, thorough, and funny. His quick wit, caring nature and devotion to family will live on in memories.
