Ella Ruth Engman (Simmons), affectionately known as Mom, Grandma, GG, Great GG, and dear friend to many, graced this world for 95 blissful years. Her life was a testament to resilience, strength, love, determination, and kindness. Her legacy of love unfolded across five generations that included her husband Fred (1994), daughter Linda (2023), son Bruce and his wife Mary (2000), grandchildren Brandy and husband Chris, Eric and wife Alessandra, Corin, Tyson and wife Faleese, great grandchildren Skyler, Kalysa, Syrus, Clayton, Ella, Eastin, Lais, and Reagan, and great great grandchildren Shoura and Ruito.
Born to Thomas and Florence Simmons, in Denver Colorado, she later made the journey with her mother and brothers in the 1930's to San Francisco. She and her husband Fredrick Reese Engman raised their two children Bruce and Linda in the San Francisco South Bay Area. Ella and her husband Fred retired to Los Banos in the late 1970's where she spent the next decades watching her family grow.
