Bette Sue Zelechowski

Bette Sue Zelechowski, age 72, of Lily, died unexpectedly on May 19, 2024 at her home. She was born on November 30, 1951 in Lily, a daughter of the late Charles Edward "Eddie" and Dolly (Weber) Baker. She married Roger Zelechowski on December 1, 1968 in Crandon. Bette attended Lily Grade School and Wabeno and Crandon High School. She enjoyed photography, animals, crafts, and gardening. She loved to dance and the outdoors. She was a successful hunter including with a crossbow. Bette enjoyed rock collecting and gifting others. She was a loving wife and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Bette will be deeply missed by her husband, Roger; three daughters, Amy Mientke, Ann Mattson and Denise (Adrian) McMahan all of Wausau; grandchildren of Brent Zelechowski, Sarah McMahan, Devin McMahan, Kellie Olaughlin, Megan Wistrom, Jamie Olaughlin, Patrick Olaughlin, Charles Mattson, Melissa Fischer, James Mundschau, Michael Mundschau, Alex Mundschau, Nicolas Mundschau, Roger Zelechowski, Samantha Bush, William Bush; and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Monika Zelechowski and Cheryl Bush; a grandson, Adam Mundschau; two sisters, Annie Baker and Mavis Baker; and two brothers, Johnny Spencer and Harvey Baker. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 12 p.m. led by Gary Brabazon of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lily Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:30 am until the time of service.
