r, initially working at Story Construction, contributing to various projects around the Ames area. He later joined Roberts Dairy as a truck driver, where he worked tirelessly for 25 years before retiring. David was passionate about classic cars, enjoying the process of rebuilding several of them with his boys which they accredit him with their strong work ethic. He took great pride in restoring these vehicles, driving, and enjoying them before selling them to start a new project. He was currently working on a 2002 Ford Thunderbird convertible. David is survived by his wife, Charlene Milam of Kelley, Iowa; their three sons: Gary and his wife Michelle Milam of Kelley, Terry and his wife Shawnda Milam of Nevada, and Dennis Milam of Kelley, Iowa; as well as his grandchildren. One brother William (Bill), and four sisters Annalea, Janet, Mary and Lois multiple nieces, nephews and multiple friends. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his dedication to his family. David was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Milam, brother Richard, and his infant grandson.
