James Allen Slaton, born on August 11, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Donnie Slaton and Pamela Slaton (Mains), passed away on Monday, May 20th, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior. Jamie, as he was known by friends' family, was the oldest of three sons. Jamie was a man of many passions and talents. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished the great outdoors and the time spent with his family in nature. He had a profound love for gardening and plants, cultivating beauty in every corner of his home. A man of remarkable creativity, Jamie was the proprietor of Slaton's Custom Designs, where his artistic flair shone through in his vinyl designs and lettering on vehicles, clothing, and interior decorating. He was also a skilled auto mechanic, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Jamie's witty sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy, and their three sons, Johnathan (Shakota), Caden, and Shane. Jamie's father, Donnie Slaton, preceded him in death.
