Loretta May Strong, of White Lake, died on June 1, 2024 at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 90 years old. She was born on December 17, 1933 in the Town of Evergreen, a daughter of Glen and Iva (Rose) Taylor. She married Walter Strong on September 9, 1952 in White Lake. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1993.
She was a graduate of the White Lake High School, class of 1952.
Loretta and her husband were mink farmers from 1965-1988. They owned and operated Walt's Service Station in White Lake for over 50 years.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Antigo and enjoyed gardening, reading, and crocheting.
Survivors include five daughters, Karen (Steve) Polus of Appleton, Bonnie Roberts of White Lake, Sandee (Mike) Hoerning of Wild Rose, Laurie (Mike) Hennig of Grafton, and Sherri (Pat) Koller of Appleton; a son, Bob (Shelly) Strong of White Lake; two sisters, Ella (Dee) Shelly of Tigerton and Donna Ewert of Manitowoc; a brother, Floyd Taylor of Elton; and 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
