Roger Palmer, 80, passed away at his Washington residence during the early morning hours of June 9, 2024. His wife was by his side. He was born in Washington, March 18, 1944, to Lavere and Margaret (Wood) Palmer. On March 1, 1961, Roger married the love of his life, Marilyn (Coomer) Palmer, and they enjoyed sixty-three years together.
Roger was self-employed and looked forward to going to flea markets. In his early years, he was an avid gun collector and enjoyed going to gun shows.
Those who now mourn Roger's passing include his wife, Marilyn Palmer; daughters: Tamara Lynn (Cary) Albright of Shoals and Angelena Kharchenko of Jacksonville, Florida. Roger was blessed with seven grandchildren: Amanda (William) Heckard; Brandon Ettelt; Paulina Aldrich; Calli (Joseph) Crane; Danielle Albright; Christian Brown; Taylor Brown; and one great-granddaughter, Alexis Heckard; and three great-grandsons: Moses Crane; Reuben Crane; and Royal Parker. Additionally, Roger leaves a sister, Paula Kahn of Orlando, Florida; best friends, Seth Myers and Virgil Knepp; and his beloved fox terrier, Max.
