Janice Lee Harner

Janice Lee (Burris) Harner, 89, passed away at Gentlecare of Vincennes on July 7, 2024. She was born in Washington, January 10, 1935, to Earl and Agnes (Williams) Burris. On September 20, 1952, she married Joseph Harner and together they created a loving home for themselves and their children until his passing in July 2013. Janice was a graduate of Washington High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, working puzzles and playing cards - especially Solitaire. She was of the Catholic faith. Those who now mourn Janices's passing include her children: Debbie Cardwell of Frankfort, Kentucky and Stephen (Charlene Chambers) Harner of Vincennes. Janice was blessed with five grandchildren: Carrie (Fred) Thompson; Marcia (John) McLaughlin; Gary Cardwell; Kimberly (Elizabeth) Doll; and Kristina James. Additionally, she leaves thirty-six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Don Burris in Minnesota and Mary Mundy in California.
