d Gates Chili grade school and is a class of 1965 graduate of Greece Olympia. She went on to study nursing at Isabella Graham Heart where she obtained her LPN certification. For the majority of her nursing career, Kathy held various positions at Rochester General Hospital until her retirement in 1996. Kathy met the love of her life, Ronald Falzolare, and married January 11th, 1969. They had nearly 53 incredible years together until Ron's passing in 2021. They shared an unwavering bond and took care of one another. There was never a dull moment in their marriage. After a long yearning to have children, they were surprised when Kathy became pregnant with Renee and shortly followed by Richard. They raised them in a home full of love and many shenanigans. Later in life she was fortunate to be 'Grammy' to her only grandchild, Liana. Family was always Kathy's number one priority. From coaching the kid's Baseball team to being a Girl Scout leader for Renee to helping Richard with the early morning newspaper deliveries, she was always willing to volunteer. She cherished all her memories of block parties, vacations with family and friends, camping, holiday traditions, but above all was appreciative of the littlest things in life. Kathy loved all animals especially her beloved rescued cats Smokey and Mittens. Prior to them she was a dog mom to Max, Millie, and Oreo. She also loved visiting all of her grand-fur babies Khloe, Kia, Sammy, Penelope & Lucy. Kathy always made friends wherever she went but had some noteworthy bonds and friendships that spanned more than five decades. What started as a babysitting gig, later turned into a lifelong friendship with Wendy Kenny. Once they both started their families and lived a couple of houses apart, their families became more than friends. Kathy became godmother to Wendy's second daughter Nicole and Wendy was Richard and later Liana's godmother as well. Both Kathy and Wendy are still referred to as 'Aunts' to the kids and they were all cousins to each other. Their family always held a special place in Kathy's heart. Kathy also had a close bond with her high school girlfriends, Donna O'Keen and Maggie Hoag, which she treasured. Kathy lived life to the fullest and never took any day for granted. She was compassionate, outgoing, easy to talk to, great at giving advice, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. We will miss her infectious personality and our nightly phone calls.
