Joanne C Barr, 81, of Rochester passed peacefully on Friday, July 5th.
She was born in Rochester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne Lombardo Ligozio. She was predeceased by her brothers, Rockwell and Peter, and her sister Katheryn Danne. She is survived by her nephew, Matthew Ligozio, and close friends, Cindi and Chris Smith who provided aid and comfort during her time of need.
Joanne held abundant faith in Christian Science. It is that faith that gave her the ability to see and experience life in a way few came to understand nor appreciate. She was always happy. Always full of grace. Saw perfection in herself and all who surrounded her. She celebrated her perfection in the most beautiful way anyone could imagine.
Her passion was art and that of helping others. She was fondly remembered as an Art teacher at Eastridge High School. Joanne also gave her time to the Memorial Art Gallery to share knowledge with the local community.
