Jean Powers DiGiovanni passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on April 14, 1928, in Binghamton, NY, but moved to Rochester soon after and spent the rest of her life in the Flower City. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Tony, and by her daughter Connie. She is survived by her children, Regina (Ed) Swart, Mark (Beth) DiGiovanni, and Andrea (John) Wheatley; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to raising four children, Jean worked as a legal secretary and served in volunteer positions at St. Augustine's, Sts. Peter and Paul, and Aquinas. She loved family, music, birds, reading, painting, and playing games. In her late eighties she was on the Wii Bowling National Championship team.
Jean's life story will be shared during visitation Friday, September 6th at 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Bartolomeo & Perotto funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 10 am, at Church of the Epiphany, 3285 Buffalo Rd.[more]
