prior to moving to Ames where he continued to work in the trade until an injury forced him to retire. Bob took pride in the quality of his work, and he was not satisfied until his work was perfect. His wisdom came not from books, but from from his years of experience, and his stories - full of humor, wit, and occasional embellishment - left an indelible mark on everyone lucky enough to hear them. Above all, Bob cherished his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, sharing lessons of resilience, humor, and love along the way. Bob enjoyed woodworking projects, attending car shows with friends and family, and cheering on his favorite teams-Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers, and the New York Yankees.
