Virginia Lee, 99 of Story City, IA died at Bethany Life Choices in Story City on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kelley, Iowa on Monday, January 20th at 10:30 AM with Pastor Jesse Peterson officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 9:30 AM. Virginia Lee was born on July 14, 1925, near Huxley, Iowa to John R. and Anna Bertina Torresdal Sydnes. She was baptized and confirmed at the Hauges Lutheran Church in Slater. A lifelong resident Of Story County, she graduated from High School in 1942 at the age of 16. She was also a 4-H Leader, a member of the VFW Auxiliary and an officer of AAL. She enjoyed her family, farm home, church, reading, baking, and golf. Four children survived. Also, five granddaughters, five grandsons, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee in 2002, a son Wayne Donald in 1958, an infant grandson, Edward Olaf Lee Jr. in 1995, and a daughter-in-law, Heidi in 2016.
