Terry Lu Warren

Terry Lu Warren, 68, of West Des Moines, IA, passed away on January 20, 2025 at home with her family by her side after a difficult battle with leukemia. Terry was born on February 8, 1956, the youngest of three children, to parents Betty and Jim Warren. Terry and her partner of 40 years, Sheri Frazier, lived in West Des Moines. Terry broke barriers and shattered glass ceilings as one of the few women to rise through the ranks in the propane and liquids pipeline industries. Terry and Sheri shared their lives and home with many beloved cats, dogs, and Guinea pigs over the years. Terry was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs; although neither delivered many winning seasons, her loyalty and commitment never wavered. The Raccoon River Dog Park was absolutely her favorite place. She spent many happy hours walking her dog and made many wonderful friends, two and four-legged, during her visits to the park. Terry is survived by her partner, Sheri Frazier; daughter, Allison Wisecup (Joanne Macedo, wife) of Virginia; grandson, Ethan Davis of Illinois; nephews Chad Matthews of Iowa and Jason Matthews (Tammy) of Arizona; and great niece, Alexis Dahlhauser (Nate) and children Alexander and Aria, of Iowa. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Lobo, and cats, Cody and Hunter. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
